![]() ![]() ![]() Is live-view possible, using free or low-cost software? It does not have a live view facility.Īt my advanced age, lack of physical flexibility is a serious issue! I have an Android 7" tablet that I use for mobile e-mail access and multi-card reviews and would like to use it as a live-view facility, whilst indoors out on the move. I hope it's obvious I am talking about for use doing landscapes.Īny ideas? I have a D7000 right now but may get a FX camera in the future.Ĭould somebody kindly simplify the data offered on this subject for me please? There are so many better cameras illustrated but seldom such as my "old banger", a Nikon D80 DSLR. I would expect being displayed larger would help being able to see the focus better without having to zoom all the way in? Or is the data sent to the live view screen limited where this wouldn't work? I guess what I am visualizing is some sort of tripod attachment that would hold a smallish 7 inch tablet for viewing (used like a monitor?) while I compose focus etc. Which brings me to my question, is there a way to have what is displayed on the back of the camera's small screen sent to a tablet type thing (not a laptop) to give a larger "live view" screen? Being able to zoom in to focus is nice but then you lose being able to see the whole image. Out of 6 shots I took that afternoon, 4 were nice. And this might sound strange but I think part of it is being under the dark cloth where it blacks out everything except the screen on the back of the camera. I was reminded how being able to focus on that big ground glass helps me a lot to compose, slow down and pre-visualize the shot. Last week I dusted off my old 4X5 super graphic and shot some sheet film. ![]()
